Warranty Terms and Conditions
  1. Arcelik Hitachi Home Appliances Sales Hong Kong Limited (hereinafter called the “Company”) has an option to provide repair service and replacement of defective parts to the product, for which is under warranty period (warranty period is commenced from the date of purchase) and normal use, while the product is out of order and verified by the Company. The service shall be rendered and considered as appropriate by the Company only. The replaced defective parts shall become the Company's property.
  2. Warranty period
    1. The warranty period of compressor for air conditioner is 5 years. If the compressor is damaged during the <Applicable to Split AC> 3rd to 5th/ <Applicable to Win AC> 4th to 5th year/ <Applicable to tender business product> 19th month to 5th year and replacement is necessary, only free on the compressor but the costs of inspection, labour, freon charge, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer.
    2. The warranty period of conventional compressor is 5 years and “Inverter Compressor” is 10 years for refrigerator. If the “Inverter Compressor” is damaged during the 6th to the 10th year and the replacement is necessary, only free on the “Inverter Compressor” but the costs of inspection, labour, freon charge, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer.
    3. The warranty period of compressor for dehumidifier is 5 years. If the compressor is damaged during the 3rd to 5th year and replacement is necessary, only free on the compressor but the costs of inspection, labour, freon charge, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer.
    4. The warranty period of conventional Motor is 2 years and “Inverter Motor” is 10 years for Front Loading Drum Type Washing Machine. If the “Inverter Motor” is damaged during the 3rd to the 10th year and the replacement is necessary, only free on the “Inverter Motor” but the costs of inspection, labour, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer.
    5. <Applicable to Display Product/ Special Priced Product> The warranty period of compressor for Air Conditioner, Refrigerator and Dehumidifier is 5 years; “Inverter Compressor” for Refrigerator and “Inverter Motor” for Front Loading Drum Type Washing Machine is 10 years. If the compressor or motor is damaged during the 2nd to the end of above mentioned warranty period and the replacement is necessary, only free on the compressor or motor of above mentioned but the costs of inspection, labour, freon charge, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer.
  3. This warranty does not cover:
    1. Installation, dismantling, to transport, to disposal, removal or reinstate of any fittings and facilities which impede for repair service, cleaning, dirt removal, disinsection and mould cleaning service.
    2. Replace, repair or recondition on the cabinet, chassis, panel, power cord,
      1. <Applicable to Air Conditioner> drainage system, unclogged of drainage, filter, remote control, batteries
      2. <Applicable to Refrigerator> refrigerator door, gasket, handle, knob, glass, shelf, crisper, ice tray
      3. <Applicable to Dehumidifier> knob, dust filter, filter, water container, drain hose, handle, caster, remote controller, batteries
      4. <Applicable to Washing Machine> water tap and attachments, plumbing and drainage servicing, water supply hose, washing cap, lint filter, filter net assembly, drain hose
      5. <Applicable to Air Purifier> water tray, tray cover, water tank, tank cap, dust sensor lens, filter and assembly, remote controller, batteries
      6. <Applicable to Superheated Steam Microwave Oven> tray, grill tray, grill lid, water tank, drip tray, mitten, accessories for bakery(include rack and storage case)
      7. <Applicable to IH Rice Cooker> inner pot, plate, inner lid, filter, steam cap, handle
      8. extension or alteration of Air Conditioner/ Refrigerator/ Dehumidifier/ Washing Machine/ Air Purifier/ Twin-Tub Washer piping or power supply.
    3. Reduction in battery operating time or changes on battery charging time due to battery age or lifespan.
    4. Any correction work or repair for the product by reasons of not following the instruction in the installation or operating manual.
    5. Any damage or loss caused by man-made, misuse, abuse, neglect, excessive erosion or rust, unauthorized repair or modification, normal wear and tear, accidents, natural disasters, or other events beyond Company's control.
    6. Product use for non-domestic purpose or for any purpose other than the original designed.
    7. To work under hazardous conditions.
    8. Model or serial number of the product, content of guarantee card has been altered, effaced or moved.
  4. If the location or surrounding is impeded and caused the Company cannot conduct inspection or repair service under a safe condition, customer should provide a safe and appropriated facility, such as ladder, working platform or scaffolding; or dismantle and restore the product to the place by customer. Any cost and related application is responsible by customer.
  5. Onsite service in outlying islands, closed areas and location which is not accessible by public transport, longer arranging time will be required and additional fee will be charged. If those product required workshop repair, or the product is on yacht or boat, customer should be responsible to carry the product to our Service Centre, or deliver to and from the specified location in urban area for rendering of service.
  6. <Applicable to IH Rice Cooker> Customer should be responsible to carry the product to our Service Centre for rendering of service and collect back the product at the same location after repaired.
  7. All articles left unclaimed by the customer within 2 months after notification will be disposed of at our own discretion and the company shall not be liable or responsible to the customer for such articles or for any loss or damaged whatsoever in such event.
  8. The Company shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, claims, or contingent in connection with any defects, faults or failure of the product.
  9. This warranty is valid only in Hong Kong and Macau, however, warranty service does not apply to parallel imported products. Any other warranty documents issued by other parties would not be accepted by the Company.
  10. Guarantee certificate registration must be submitted within 14 days of original purchase. If there is any change of address or telephone no., customer should inform to the Company at once.
  11. While providing service under warranty period, customer must present the original guarantee certificate and purchase invoice to the Company's verification, otherwise, the service would be on a charge basis and non-refundable.
  12. All Terms and Conditions stated are subject to change without notice, and the English version published on the Company website shall prevail. The Company retains final deciding authority in case of dispute.

      3. <Applicable to Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner> knob, batteries, charger/changing station, cable jack, dust case, dust bag, filter, pipe and hose, vacuum head, brush
      4. <Applicable to Shaver> cap, foil-cutter assembly (foil and shaving head), trimming blade, batteries, button, power adaptor, cable jack, cleaning brush, shaver oil, pouch
      5. extension or alteration of Small Home Appliances/ Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner piping or power supply.

  3. This warranty does not cover:
    1. Installation, dismantling, to transport, to disposal, removal or reinstate of any fittings and facilities which impede for repair service, cleaning, dirt removal, disinsection and mould cleaning service.
    2. Replace, repair or recondition on the cabinet, chassis, panel, power cord,
      1. <Applicable to Projector> lamp of the projector, knob, external signaling system, power supply work, filter, ear phone, remote controller, batteries
      2. <Applicable to Interactive Flat Panel Display> external wiring and signaling system, power supply work and setting up of other products; external parts such as front frame, knob & accessories such as ear phones, remote controller, batteries, etc; image retention, dismantling or reinstatement of the product installed at a height exceeding 2 meters (measured from the ground to the base of panel), wall mounting work.
      3. <Applicable to Lecture Capture System> external wiring and signaling system, power supply work and setting up of other products; external parts such as control button & accessories such as remote controller, batteries, etc; dismantling or reinstatement of the product installed at a height exceeding 2 meters, data recovery or data backup service.
    3. Any lost, corruption, leak of data caused by usage, inspection, original design, initialization, malfunction, repair, storage, unstable or interrupt of power supply, connection with other equipment or device, relocate or move of the system, or any other caused. Our company have no responsibilities on the directly or indirectly on the related damages, financial losses, loss of business / goodwill, or loss resulted from lost/corruption/leak of data. It is recommended that to back-up the data when necessary and before ask of service, furthermore applies adequate measures on the data security.

Remarks:

  1. From 1st Oct 2018, the Warranty card (except those products without Warranty card) will start to put inside the box, so you may not find the Warranty card outside the carton box as before.
  2. Warranty card will be valid only after registration. Please keep original warranty card and purchase invoice, and present them to our technician for free warranty service.
  3. Terms and conditions apply, please refer to the warranty card or our web-site. Our company reserves the right to the final explanation of the Terms & Conditions. In case of dispute, the decision of Arçelik Hitachi Home Appliances Sales Hong Kong Limited shall be final.
