Warranty Terms and Conditions
- Arcelik Hitachi Home Appliances Sales Hong Kong Limited (hereinafter called the “Company”) has an option to provide repair service and replacement of defective parts to the product, for which is under warranty period (warranty period is commenced from the date of purchase) and normal use, while the product is out of order and verified by the Company. The service shall be rendered and considered as appropriate by the Company only. The replaced defective parts shall become the Company's property.
- Warranty period
- The warranty period of compressor for air conditioner is 5 years. If the compressor is damaged during the <Applicable to Split Type Air Conditioner> 3rd to 5th/ <Applicable to Window Type Air Conditioner> 4th to 5th year/ <Applicable to tender business product> 19th month to 5th year and replacement is necessary, only free on the compressor but the costs of inspection, labour, freon charge, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer.
- The warranty period of conventional compressor is 5 years and "Inverter Compressor" is 1 O years for refrigerator. If the "Inverter Compressor" is damaged during the 6th to the 10th year and the replacement is necessary, only
free on the "Inverter Compressor" but the costs of inspection, labour, freon charge, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer.
- The warranty period of compressor for dehumidifier is 5 years. If the compressor is damaged during the 3rd to 5th year and replacement is necessary, only free on the compressor but the costs of inspection, labour, freon charge, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer
- The warranty period of Conventional Motor is 2 years and "Inverter Motor" is 10 years for Single Tub Washer or Front Loading Washer. If the "Inverter Motor" is damaged during the 3rd to t he 10th year and the replacement is necessary, only free on the "Inverter Motor" but the costs of inspection, labour, other parts and transportation will be paid by customer.
- <Applicable to Display Product of the Large Home Appliances/ Special Priced Product> Product warranty is 1 year.
- This warranty does not cover:
- Installation, dismantling, to transport, to disposal, removal or reinstate of any fittings and facilities which impede for repair service, removal of sealing materials, cleaning, dirt removal, disinsection and mould cleaning service.
- Replace, repair or recondition on the cabinet, chassis, panel, power cord,
- <Applicable to Air Conditioner> drainage system, unclogged of drainage, filter, remote controller, batteries, cleaning Window Type Air Conditioner base pan, Window Type Air Conditioner front cover assembly.
- <Applicable to Refrigerator> refrigerator door, gasket, handle, knob, glass, shelf, crisper, ice tray, door closer.
- <Applicable to Dehumidifier> knob, dust filter, filter, water container, drain hose, handle, caster, remote controller, batteries.
- <Applicable to Washing Machine> water tap and attachments, plumbing and drainage servicing, water supply hose, washing cap, lint filter, filter net assembly, drain hose, door assembly.
- <Applicable to Air Purifier> water tray, tray cover, water tank, tank cap, dust sensor lens, filter and assembly, remote controller, batteries.
- <Applicable to Rice Cooker> inner pot, plate, inner lid, filter, steam cap, handle.
- <Applicable to Microwave & Oven> tray, grill tray, grill lid, water tank, drip tray, mitten, accessories for bakery (include rack and storage case).
- <Applicable to Vacuum Cleaner> cabinet, body, panel, knob or button, battery, charger, power cord, dust bag, dust cup, filter, filter cover, hose, flexible tube, brush, suction head, extension pipe and related components.
- <Applicable to Fan> fan blades, remote controller, fan guard, base.
- Extension or alteration of Air Conditioner/ Refrigerator/ Dehumidifier/ Washing Machine/ Air Purifier/ Twin Tub Washer/ Single Tub Washer/ Vacuum Cleaner/ Fan piping or power supply.
- Reduction in battery operating time or changes on battery charging time due to battery age or lifespan.
- Any correction work or repair for the product by reasons of not following the instruction in the installation or operating manual.
- Any damage or loss caused by man-made, misuse, abuse, neglect, excessive erosion or rust, unauthorized repair or modification, normal wear and tear, accidents, natural disasters, or other events beyond Company's control.
- Product use for non-domestic purpose or for any purpose other than the original designed.
- To work under hazardous conditions.
- Model number, Serial number, SKU number of the product, content of guarantee card has been altered, effaced or moved.
- If the location or surrounding is impeded and caused the Company cannot conduct inspection or repair service under a safe condition, customer should provide a safe and appropriated facility, such as ladder, working platform
or scaffolding; or dismantle and restore the product to the place by customer. Any cost and related application is responsible by customer.
- Onsite service in outlying islands, restricted areas, remote areas and location which is not accessible by publ ic transport, longer arranging time will be required and additional fee will be charged. If those product required
workshop repair, or the product is on yacht or boat, customer should be responsible to carry the product to our Service Centre or deliver to and from the specified location in urban area for rendering of service.
- <Applicable to Small Domestic Appliances> Customer should be responsible to carry the product to the authorized customer service centre for rendering of service and collect back the product at the same location after repaired.
- All articles left unclaimed by the customer within 2 months after notification will be disposed of at our own discretion and the company shall not be liable or responsible to the customer for such articles or for any loss or damaged whatsoever in such event.
- The Company shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, claims, or contingent in connection with any defects, faults or failure of the product.
- This warranty is valid only in Hong Kong and Macau, however, warranty service does not apply to parallel imported products. Any other warranty documents issued by other parties would not be accepted by the Company.
- Product warranty registration card must be submitted within 14 days of original purchase. If there is any change of address ortelephone no., customer should inform to the Company at once.
- While providing service under warranty period, customer must present the original product warranty registration card and purchase invoice to the Company's verification, otherwise, the service would be on a charge basis and
non-refundable.
- All Terms and Conditions stated are subject to change without notice, and the English version published on the Company website shall prevail. The Company retains final deciding authority in case of dispute.
